This selection of staircases shows the extent of our experience and ability to work in all styles. All were conceived, designed and built by us. Curved staircases are shown here.
Oak Staircase, Gothic in style
The balustrading runs around the entire atrium of the barn with several hand carved newel posts.
We designed and built this split staircase to fit into the atrium of a listed barn conversion in North Norfolk. The thick oak treads are supported by a central steel member in place of a pair of strings.
Steel within the continuous oak handrails provides additional rigidity to treads via the balustrades.
The hand rails sweep out over the first few treads and have swan necks at the landing, giving a continuous run, unbroken by newel posts.
Countersunk hex head fixings give an engineered look.
This staircase is in an 18th century Norfolk cottage
The construction is with old reclaimed oak beams, contrasting the new oak cut string with traditional detailing.
We made use of the curved shape of the beam to optimise space at the top of the stairs.
We built this stud wall, using the right materials and techniques, to appear as an original feature
We built this grand staircase with turned balustrades and detailed reliefs on newel posts for a lighting shop in London.
This regency staircase runs over three floors of a converted watermill on the North Norfolk coast. There are turned newel caps and swan necks on the delicate oak handrail.
